Utilizing synths, guitars, and pristine psychedelic production, Sun Atoms present a gorgeous monochromatic video of the song “Ceiling Tiles.” Jsun Atoms leads a top notch cast of performers, with a vocal track that’s suitably romantic and mysterious. A bassline by Peter G. Holmstrӧm is represented first by a synth bass and later moves the track ahead with drums by Eric Rubalcava, guitars by June Kang, wind instruments by Mars De Ponte (LoveBomb Go-Go) and Derek Spencer Longoria-Gomez (Hi Hazel) on guitar.

Holmstrӧm (Dandy Warhols, Pete International Airport) is in charge of production on “Ceiling Tiles,” the first track from Sun Atoms’ forthcoming second album. Final mixing is by Jagz Kooner (Oasis, Garbage, Massive Attack, and Primal Scream). The song is based on a story told by Jsun Atoms about the childhood experience of experiencing a ‘being made of light’ enter his bedroom through the window and touch his foot. The stunning black and white video shot by Brady Tuazon suggests an artificial high-tech world of shadows and dreams.

We’re living outside of the lines
And it feels like we’re losing, losing, losing our minds

Sun Atoms are a unique example of band that checks many boxes, being highly imaginative and willing to experiment sonically while being melodically appealing. They are located in Portland, Oregon, and released their debut album Let There Be Light in 2021, when Holmstrӧm and Jsun Atoms (The Upsidedown) teamed up during the pandemic.

Sun Atoms will bring their live show to Boise, Idaho, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Pioneertown, Los Angeles and San Francisco, California in March, as well as Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington in April.
