Apparently endorsed by none other than Carlos Santana, the new single from Nevaris’ upcoming album Reverberations, “Dub Soul,” is an inspired, trippy experience.

“Dub Sol” is a star-studded track. Nevaris on percussion, electric piano, and Hammond organ, and Bill Laswell on bass and effects is just a start. This psychedelic dub track and the album Reverberations is an expansion of the dub elements of the albums System Breakdown (2020) and New Future (2022), released under the name Loud Apartment. Nevaris, who has roots in both NYC and LA, and brings his multi-faceted, multi-ethnic background to his music and his visual art, says Reverberations is the logical extension of those previous albums.

In addition to Nevaris and Laswell, “Dub Soul” and the upcoming album Reverberations features DJ Logic on turntables, Peter Afbelbaum on those delicious horns, Will Bernard and Matt Dickey on guitar, and Lockatron on drums. Brilliant production is by Bill Laswell. The songs were written by Nevaris, also known as Agustín Emilio Crawford.

Reverberations will drop on May 25, 2023. Carlos Santana has heard the album, saying: “Love this. They have created a work of supreme creativity.”
